customized to cater to the specific food and wine interests of our guests.
Here is the itinerary of a tour we arranged for Barry & Anne Munitz, Tony & Janis Fell and Amanda Susskind in August 1996.

Wednesday, August 28
10:00 A.M.
Drive to Geyser Peak Winery
in Alexander Valley.
Meet Daryl Groom, Executive Vice President/ Winemaker Geyser Peak Winery. Lunch
picnic style. Winery tour lead by Daryl Groom.
Daryl was selected by the Los Angeles Times as Winemaker of the Year in 1994. Under
his tutelage, Geyser Peak has become a world class operation producing very high quality
products. The Wine Spectator ranks
Geyser Peak as a four star winery in a five star rating system.
2:45 P.M.
Private wine tasting conducted by
Jesse Shaw at a surprise location.
7:30 P.M.
Trip to Catahoula,
Calistoga, and dinner.
Thursday, August 29
5:45 A.M.
Depart for flight with Bonaventura Balloon Company at Rancho Caymus Inn,
Rutherford.
8:00 A.M.
Land and travel with Bonaventura Balloon Company to sparkling wine breakfast.
9:30 A.M.
Return and prepare for winery tour and Culinary Institute of America tour and
lunch.
9:45 A.M.
Depart for Duckhorn Winery.
11:10 A.M.
Drive to the Culinary Institute of America
restaurant at Greystone,
the newly renovated Christian Brothers Winery which has been converted to the CIA's
west coast operation.
11:30 A.M.
Tour the CIA kitchens and facilities lead by the CIA Managing Director, Roger Riccardi,
followed by lunch.
3:15 P.M.
Arrive at Forni-Brown Gardens for a one-hour tasting tour. Forni-Brown is a
certified California organic vegetable garden and company which sells its products to many
quality restaurants in Northern California.
8:30 P.M.
Dinner at The French Laundry Restaurant, Yountville. |
